Working with Music Track

The Music Track is a second track for content like background music and jingles. It is available in text view and waveform view mode.

Music Track in Text View Mode

The Music Track in Text View is visible in a small compact mode, to ensure focus on Main Track for transcription based editing.

Constraints

  • No waveforms are visible.

  • Advanced editing capabilities are disabled e.g. fades, trim, gain automation.

  • If you need advanced editing capabilities on Music Track, please use the Waveform View Mode.

Music Track in Waveform View Mode

In this mode, the Complete View is switched to compact mode without displayed waveforms. The Timeline View has all supported capabilities e.g. fades, trim and gain automation for editing (no difference between Main Track and Music Track).

Show/Hide Music Track

The Music Track is visible per default. It can be hidden with the following menu-item.

Mute for Tracks

The main track and music track can be muted or unmuted using the volume button in the track header controls.

Editing with Music Track

The Music Track is locked for editing per default to keep the background music on editing text.

To re-arrange the Music Track elements, you can unlock it with track header controls:

Be aware that changing the lock-state includes/excludes the track in range selection for all edit operations. Same for Main Track.
