Using keyboard shortcuts in RCE
In RoughCut Edit, keyboard shortcuts significantly improve the user experience through speeding up common tasks. The keyboard shortcuts below can be used without having to select any specific sections of the editor.

MarkerIn | i | Set the in-marker at playhead position |
MarkerOut | o | Set the out-marker at playhead position |
CreateClip | a | Create a sub-clip between the in and out-marker |
Toggle Time Code Mode | t | Turns on/off TC Mode |
Play | SPACE | Start and stop playback |
DeleteClips | DEL | Remove the selected timeline clip (pre-defined and not editable) |
CreateImage | p | Creates screenshot of the frame at the location of the playhead (see Creating Screenshots) |
AddSubclipToBin | b | Add subclip to bin |
Undo | CTRL-Z | Undo the last action (inactive if there is nothing to undo) |
Redo | CTRL-Y | Redo the last undone action (inactive if there is nothing to redo) |
Top Menu Shortcuts
It is possible to associate a Top Menu item (plugin) with a keyboard shortcut, pressing which would launch the action associated with the menu item e.g triggering a workflow, navigating to Content Manager etc.
