Installation advisory for new BCS setups

Please read carefully before installing a new BCS system!

If you plan to install BCS on a new computer it is absolutely mandatory to add a parameter before executing the BCS.exe for the very first time!

Local Settings \ BroadcastServer:

Installed = 1 (Integer)

This setup workflow is needed since version 1.32.0.206 (dated on 01.02.2008). The advantage of the new parameter is to prevent accidental startups with default settings which could lead to loss of data inside the XML tree.

If you worry about installation please contact our support or project department!

If you are just updating your BCS to a newer version you don't have to pay attention because in such case BCS will automatically detects a proper setup and inserts the parameter by itself.
