MTE/ETE/STE: Starting playback in MTE will mute Windows 7 mixer

Problem: When pressing the PLAY button in MTE the playback starts but you cannot hear the sound.
The Windows mixer looks normal.
When opening the mixer dialog the mixer for the application MTE/ET/STE 6 shows to be muted.

Solution: Disabling the usage of the Windows mixer for MTE will solve the problem.

Local Settings \ MultiTrack \ Settings : MultiRecVolumeInUseMixer = 0

If this is not working you need to play around with these 3 parameters by trying different settings:

MultiRecVolumeInUseMixer
MultiRecVolumeOutUseMixer
MultiRecVolumeOutUseWaveOutSetVolume

This is also applicable for DBM with similar parameters which you can enter in the section

DBM|MultiRec
...|VolumeInUseMixer: (Par_string, Possible values=TRUE, YES, FALSE, NO) Use Windows-Mixer to control volume.
...|VolumeOutUseMixer: (Par_string, Possible values=TRUE, YES, FALSE, NO) Use Windows-Mixer to control volume.
...|VolumeOutUseWaveOutSetVolume:
(Par_string, Possible values=TRUE, YES, FALSE, NO) Use function WaveOutSetVolume to control volume.

This essentially links the application output fader to the Windows Mixer device output fader.

In contrast to the editors, there is no possibility to adjust this in the DBM GUI settings.
