Yellowtec PUC integration

1 General
The following Settings are integrated for multimedia devices that do not support hardware-monitoring. In this case the input signal will be directly patched to the output.
IMPORTANT: This option may be potentially damaging to hardware (Loopback of Signal). Only activate this parameter if the soundcard DOES NOT support hardware monitoring!

1.2 How to configure

Insert this Parameters inside the DigaSystem Administrator

Section:
MMAudioboard
Parameter:
UseWaveInToWaveOut
Possible values:
TRUE, FALSE, YES, NO
Default value: FALSE
Description: The input signal will be directly patched to the output. A unique output channel is opened for this purpose. The resulting latency is determined by the size of the buffer (WaveInBufferSize), the smaller the buffer, the less latency time. You may additionally have to take into account a driver minimum latency. This is not creating a hardware patch on the sound card, but instead acting as a patch within the software in order to allow monitoring of the input.
IMPORTANT: This option may be potentially damaging to hardware (Loopback of Signal). Only activate this parameter if the sound card DOES NOT support hardware-monitoring!

=> The section „MMAudioBoard“ could also be a subkey of e.g. EasyTrack. When configuring in this manner, the EasyTrack Editor would be the only application that reads these setting.

1.3 Special notes for using .ini files:
To use the section MMAudioBoard you have to define in which ini file and in which section the application finds these settings.
The definition is done inside the file: “Digas.ini”

Section:
[Tools]

Parameter:
MMAudioboardSettings=C:\winnt\easytrack.ini Here you define in which file the section for the parameter can be found.
MMAudioboardSettingsSection=MMAudioboard Here you define the name of the section where the parameter can be found.

DAVID Systems offers some parameters to do a proper integration of Yellowtec PUC hardware. These parameters can be found inside the volume templates when doing a fresh DBM setup and need to be integrated to the corresponding sections.

See Local Settings \ Volume \ Audiohardware \ YellowTec_PUC

Some customers reported that our audio editors switch off the onboard sound card when pressing the record button on the Record screen.

This can be solved by setting some parameters for the audio editor:

Local Settings \ EasyTrack \ Settings :

MultiRecUseWaveInToWaveOut = 0
MultiRecVolumeOutUseMixer = 1
MultiRecVolumeOutUseWaveOutSetVolume = 0

Please pay attention that these settings do not exist in other locations like user.par or in global settings.
