Understand Job Templates

A job template contains a complete or partial ROAD job, which may be used repeatedly. If a ROAD schedule refers to a job template, this means every time when the schedule's occurrence is effective a job is created, which uses a copy of this template's job description.

Templates are usually prepared and maintained by a ROAD administrator and should be named and categorized in such way that the user of the scheduling knows which one to use. To do so, the template name, description and the assignment to a job type is important.
