Scheduling a Show

There are several functions available to schedule a show, or fill the show structure with existing audio material:

■     Adding new elements

■     Recording on placeholders

■     Importing new entries from the Database Manager.

■     Adding/overwriting an element

■     Manual import from scheduling tools

■     Manual export of broadcast schedules

■     Adding items from pools/preschedules in the broadcast schedule

■     Pasting items from pools/preschedules or broadcast schedules

■     Regio player functions

■     Creating a snapshot

■     Editing a show / day status

Note: To navigate within an entry mask, you can define freely assignable key shortcuts for Open and Close in "Settings".

Adding new element

You can create new elements within a show:

  1. Right-click in the broadcast table window the element in front of which you want to insert a new element, and then click [New element]. The "New element" dialog box opens.

  2. Enter the parameters you require.

  3. Click [OK] to confirm. Only then does the BroadcastServer create and save the entry.


Alternatively:
Click [Cancel] if you do not want to create the entry. The new element appears in the broadcast table window.

Recording on placeholders

You can make audio recordings on certain placeholders in DigAIRange. The placeholder must be assigned with an audio-related class.

  1. Right-click the placeholder, and then click [Record]. The OnAIR TrackMixer in the multiview window opens in recording mode.

  2. To start the recording, click [Record], and then click [Start].

  3. Click [Stop] to stop the recording.

  4. Click [Save].

Importing news entries from DBM

There are several options to export entries from the DigaSystem Database Manager (DBM) to the DigAIRange clipboard.

Import option 1: Using the Clipboard

  1. Drag&drop the entry from the DBM on the DigAIRange icon.

  1. The entry appears in the DigAIRange clipboard.

  1. To paste a copy of the entry from the clipboard to the show, drag&drop the entry to the required position.

Alternatively:

While you drag&drop, hold down the Alt key to overwrite an entry or placeholder at the destination.

While you drag&drop, hold down the Shift key when you paste the entry at the destination, provided you want to delete the entry from the clipboard at the same time.

Import option 2: Using the Split Screen View

  1. Split your screen view by clicking the "Window" menu, and then click [DigAIRange under DBM].

  1. Drag&drop the required entry directly to the required position.

 

Note: Overwriting an element/placeholder

Hold down the Alt key while you paste the entry. The overwritten element is then highlighted with a green paste color.
