Templates

You can define day or show templates in each program.

Day Templates

Day templates are the time base to define a broadcast schedule. Day templates form the basis for a repeating broadcast schedule. Day templates are listed by weekday or date in subdirectories.

The first time you open a day in the broadcast schedule, the structures of all the shows on this day are copied from the basic day templates to the broadcast schedule tree. There is an option of weekly templates (Monday thru Sunday) or duration templates.

Show Templates

Unlike day templates, show templates are independent of a specific date or weekday. Show templates act as independent content-related templates for freely defined shows without any duration assignment. Shows which have no show date or time can be prescheduled here (e.g. shows on a specific repeating generic topic).

Creating Day Templates

  1. Right-click in the show structure tree the [Day templates] folder, and then click [Manage]. The “Administration” dialog box opens.

  2. Click [New].

  3. Enter the title of the new day template in the "Name" field.

  4. Optionally, enter a short description in the "Info" field.

  5. In the "Date" or "Weekday" field, specify whether and when the day template is to be repeated.

Note: When you define a specific date, you can create a template for a specific day (e.g. public holiday, election day, etc.). It is then loaded only on this day.

  1. Optionally, in the "First valid day" and "Last valid day" field, enter the time frame for use of the day template.

Alternatively, in the "Max, x days valid", enter how long the day template is to be valid from the "First valid day" as the basis for the broadcast schedule.

  1. Click [Save] to confirm.

  2. Repeat steps 1 – 7 until you finish creating all template folders.

  3. Click [Close] to end the creation of new day templates.
