BUS.EXE BUS64.EXE BUSGUI.EXE BUSGUI64.EXE | 6.2.794.0 |
Dependencies
DigaSQL.dll 3.20.3500.0 (recommended)
Fixed Issues
Export task: If the task was started in one of the modes “Write 10 minutes after every day” or “Write at hh:mm:ss after every day” and the next time to do the export was on the same day, this export was not executed. The exports started too late on the next day. (CCD-43572)
Import task: When BUS was connected to an old BCS (< 6.1.434.0), which did not report its setting for the “start attribute inheritance”, the start mode of children of a group was not set correctly. This was a new bug since version 6.1.784.0. (CCD-43938)
Consistency Check task: Some of the generated inconsistency reports were always written to the BUS log, others only when debug level was active. This was corrected. As this output is only intended for debugging, all checks write now to the log when debug level is active.
BUSGUI.exe needed the Audio32.dll for starting – though this library is never used by the GUI.
ConsistencyCheck task: Fixed two bugs of the extensions of the ConsistencyCheck task in the last build: the setting to check gaps for relative-start elements was not saved and the check did not take multiple consecutive overlaid elements into account. (CCD-43866)
ConsistencyCheck task: The option <Report elements whose loudness values are "correctable”> was not handled correctly.
New features
BUS is now built as 32-bit version and as a 64-bit version. You need the DigaSQL64.dll for the 64-bit BUS and all other used dlls must be available as 64-bit variant, too.
The new command line parameters -b and -bm make BUS execute a batch file before starting. This allows to map drive letters when BUS runs as a Windows service.
Index task: The task was completely rewritten. The minimum requirement is now a BCS 6.2 and an ElasticIndex.dll 2.0. There are some new options: the services to index can be configured, a cache directory is needed and the BCS connection timeout can be configured. The old task used to run out-of-memory after short time. The new task still needs a lot of memory (some 100 MBytes) and therefore it is recommended to run the task as single one in an extra BUS instance or, even better, to use the new 64-bit variant of BUS.
ConsistencyCheck task: There is a new option: <Report elements with completely invalid values from loudness analysis> in the loudness tab. So far, it only checks the values ILK, LRA MAXML and MAXSL for being zero (which can happen only for artificial elements, like a sinus waveform but should otherwise not be present in the metadata). Hint: A LRA value of 0.0 for elements with a take duration of less than 4 second is normal and is not reported. (CCD-43793)
Export task: There is a new option “Export single element only” in conjunction with the export mode “Write when an element stops to be sending”. If this option is active, BUS will call the export module exactly once for each stopped element. As the data will contain only the show of the element and a single element in it, this option can only be used with an export module, which handles this special data correctly. (CCD-43721)
ConsistencyCheck task: A new check has been added to the “Gaps” page: “Report a gap between a Relative/OffsetFloating element and its master”. Background is that it can happen that due to metadata changes (especially for a master element) a referencing relative/offset-floating element would no longer start during the runtime of the master element. This cannot be executed by TurboPlayer. (CCD-43866)
Changes
Import task: So far, the merge step during import ignored content outside of the common time interval of an import show and a destination show in most import modes. This could lead to missing content after the import when this time restriction was too strict. Therefore, this restriction is no longer applied if a show is completely covered by the other show (this works in both directions). E.g. if an import show is completely covering a destination show, no time restriction is applied when content in the destination show is evaluated. So even a destination group which starts behind the end of the destination show will be filled. (CCD-43731)
An extra license dll is only needed for loudness analysis of FileCheck task. All other license dlls are no longer needed. Corresponding options have been removed from the price list.
