Introduction

Release 2026.3.0 is here!

We’re pleased to announce that Release 2026.3.0 is now available.

This Release advances browser-based production and collaboration while improving recording, editing, and search workflows across the DAVID ecosystem. Among other new additions it includes AI-assisted workflows plus enhanced annotations in CAE, instant access to growing recordings with ROAD and reliability improvements across Audio Editors and MultiRec.

Highlights include:

  • CAE (Contextual Audio Editor): New AI Assistant Support enhances audio, text, clip, and placeholder workflows. Expanded annotations enable teams to collaborate through comment threads, replies, and resolution options. Script creation is now easier with placeholders that support text and audio files, recordings, and direct text input. Redesigned track headers also provide faster access to gain adjustments.

  • ROAD: Instant Read-While-Write (RWW) Audio editing enables applications such as MTE to open and edit growing recordings without delay. InstaRecorder can now dynamically load recorder and device settings when users switch ROAD backend. Standardised 24-hour time displays and configurable date formats provide a more consistent regional experience.

  • MultiTrack, EasyTrack and Single Track editors: EasyTrack adds a new Loudness Adjustment button, while expanded configuration options provide greater control over MEX loading and the exclusion of VST effects. This release also improves stability during startup and saving, and resolves issues affecting AAF export, playout gain handling, and transcript export encoding.

  • MultiRec: Improved VBR MP3 handling provides smoother loading and editing, with additional fixes for audio glitches, gapless playback accuracy, and the correct display of Waves VST3 plug-ins. This is a Hotfix highly recommended for everyone.

As always, you’ll find more details and technical notes in LEARN, along with guidance on deployment and product lifecycle support.
