Audio formatting: Problems with MP3 processing (MP3 decoder)

There is a known bug in the Fraunhofer MP3 decoder "l3codecx.ax" Version 1.5.0.50, which comes with all Windows operating systems that can cause defective conversions including missing audio or dropouts. The bug is fixed in Version 1.9.0.311.

If you are experiencing this problem, contact DAVID Systems Support if you cannot locate the newer version.
Steps to replace the old codec:

- regsvr32 -u C:\Windows\System32\l3codecx.ax
- Rename or delete old l3codecx.ax
- Copy new l3codecx.ax to C:\Windows\System32
- regsvr C:\Windows\System32\l3codecx.ax
