Release 2025.1.0 delivers important updates designed to enrich the user experience and expand user reach across DAVID software. Key highlights of this release include:
Introducing: DPE Nano Services as a new platform-agnostic, stand-alone way to host and deploy DPE
Support for BCS user rights in TurboPlayerService (TPS), improved performance and DPE Nano Services compatibility
All new WebDigAIRange with a revamped crossfade mixer, designed with users in mind
In this release, we’re thrilled to introduce DPE Nano Services, the next evolution of our DPE platform. DPE Nano Services is cross-platform compatible - it can run on Windows, Linux, containers and optionally even macOS allowing you to reach a larger user base in your organization. It is API driven in design with a fully RESTful API replacing WCF communication and its lightweight deployment means minimal resources are required. Built on .NET Core 8, and independent of SQL and IIS requirements, DPE Nano Services delivers long-term support and flexibility for both standalone and enterprise environments. If you want to learn even more about this release, please find further technical details here.
TurboPlayerService has gone through extensive stress tests, mimicking unrealistically heavy workload scenarios, in order to make it a robust, broadcast-ready tool. Support was added for all the BCS user rights matrix. Also, TPS now fully supports DPE Nano, for easy deployment and administration.
Other enhancements include the new multitrack support in WebDigAIRange, helping users craft smooth sounding transitions between elements of a rundown, all in the browser. New elements can now be brought into the mix with a click of a button.
