Install the runtime

to install the .net 9 runtime for Ubuntu / Debian

sudo apt update
sudo apt install dotnet-sdk-9.0

Copy the MamService to you machine

Copy “MamService” app to the server using a tool that integrates into the organization's workflow (for example SCP, SFTP).

scp -r .\MamService youruser@yourIP:/opt/mamservice/

You need to adjust the folder permissions.

chmod 0777 /opt/mamservice

Adapt your configuration the settings.json file

Create the service definition file

In this example we use the nano editor.

sudo nano /etc/systemd/system/mamservice.service

Copy this example “ini” to the editor and adjust the paths, where needed.

Start the service

sudo systemctl start mamservice.service

Make the service reboot save (start the service at OS start).

sudo systemctl enable mamservice.service

Verify, if the service is running.

sudo systemctl status mamservice.service

To see more logs…

sudo journalctl -u mamservice -n 20
