The Help and Proposals area on the right shows

a help text for a current location in the parameter tree hierarchy or a selected parameter/folder

proposals for folders and keys that are valid for the current location in the parameter tree hierarchy
Proposals can be

A key (adds a single key and value)
-
A folder (adds a single folder)
-
A template (adds a parameter tree according to a template/blueprint)
Apply a proposal by selecting it and clicking the "Add" button above the proposals.
Key and folder proposals support multi-selection. A template proposal must be applied as single selection.
